Top Mutants of the MCU [X-men]

1. The Wolverine - One way or another we all have heard of the Wolverine. By far the most recognizable character in the X-men, Wolverine is most known for his signature Adamantium Claws which can tear through virtually anything. Another one of his most noted characteristics is him being Canadian and drinking a lot of beer mixed with all the hair gel jokes this guy gets. Played by Hugh Jackman in the MCU and appearing in most if not all X-men films and also having his own movie franchise with his possibly last film, Logan (2017), coming out this year.

  

2. Cyclops - Now who could forget Scott Summers? One of the most recognizable X-men right after the infamous Wolverine, Cyclops in known mostly for his ruby quartz visor. His backstory states that he was on an aircaft with his mother, Katherine, his father. Major Christopher Summers, and his brother, Alex, when a spacecraft attacked them. In order to save the boys, Katherine pushed them out of the plane with the only available parachute. It was said that in this incident, Scott suffered head injuries, causing him to permanantly lose control of his mutant abilities. Scott has appeared in most all the X-men films and was played by James Marsden, Tye Sheridan and Tim Pocock. I am currently unaware of upcoming movies that he will appear in but we'll have to wait and see.

 

3. Jean Grey (Pheonix) - As the best known female X-men, you would expect Jean to be fairly high up on this list. Being a love interest to both Scott and Logan in the comics and films, you would expect Jean to quickly be recognized as the main female in the X-men. She was one of the founding persons of the X-men  as Marvel Girl, after learning to control her telekineric powers. She was played by Sophie Turner, Famke Janssen and Haley Ramm.

  

4. Rouge - Another female X-men, Rouge was best known for her chilling backstory of her criminal history and not being able to control her abilities. She first really developed her powers after the death of her friend. She then teamed up with Mystique and killed Marvel Girl by draining her powers. She then losed faith and turned to her enemies, the X-men. Professor Xavier helped her a lot and later on she fell in love with Gambit.

  

5. Gambit - Birth Name: Unknown. Name: Remy LeBeau. Abandoned at birth because of his glowing red eyes, Remy was kidnapped from the hospital by the New Orleans Thieves' Gang and was referred to as the white devil. Later on, at the tender age of ten, Remy attempted to pick-pocket Jean-Luc LeBeau who took him in. Remy eventually encountered Storm, who was disguised as an amnesiac child, and helped her escape the Shadow King. Gambit then went on to join the x-men and became the love interest to Rouge.

 

6) Storm - There since the beginning, Halle Berry's Storm has always been a fan favourite. Thanks to Halle's acting, Storm was able to be brought into the MCU as one of the main and strongest characters.

  

7) Nightcrawler - The son of Mystique. He and Mystique were chased by an angry mob after his birth due to being mutant. He is extremely strong and has proved to be as important as any character in the MCU.

  

8) Magneto - Always viewed as the enemy in the X-men series, Magneto has proved a worthy opponent. One of the most sly and cunning in the MCU so far, able to outsmart but still mostly fail.

 

9) The Profesor ( Professor Xavier) - Ah! Professor Xavier. Where do I start? Head of the X-Mansion and one of the strongest physic, Xavier is truly great.

   

10) Deadpool - New to the MCU Deadpool's debut has parents all over the world questioning if Marvel was trying to corrupt their 8 year olds. One of the strongest and invincible characters ever, Deadpool can't be easily defeated and if to manage to kill him, props to you
